Cuba-Petroleo signs contracts for the exploration and increase of production in the central area of the country.

The Cuba-Petroleo Union and the Australian Company Petro Australis Energy Pty Ltd signed, on September 11, two contracts of international economic association to risk within the framework of the Law No. 118 of Foreign Investment.
The purpose of the contracts is the exploration and exploitation of hydrocarbons and their shared production in the land block 21 A partial, located in the province of Ciego de Avila; as well as the increase in crude production in the Pina and Brujo fields, both in production in the early 1990s and currently in the depletion phase.
